IT Help Desk & Digital Print Lab

Scheduled Server Maintenance:

The IT Department performs server maintenance during the hours of 9pm-3am Friday evening into Saturday morning every week. As a result of this maintenance, all Campus IT services should be expected to experience interruptions during this time frame.

Regular Hours

Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Summer, Winter Break Hours

Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.


The Digital Print Lab contains 7 high performance ink jet printers and two roll printers.

Sheet printing

Buy your paper at the CCAD Supply Store. As a student, sheet printing is free!

The Supply Store carries matte, semi-matte, and luster paper in 8.5 x 11, 13 x 19, and 17 x 22. We only support Supply Store paper, but you may bring other paper made for inkjet printers.

Print Lab computers are for printing only, please! No food or drink in the Print Lab.

Roll printing

We provide 24" wide and 44" wide rolls of matte, semi-matte, and luster paper. You must use our paper for roll printing.

24" wide prints cost $3 per foot, 44" wide prints cost $6 per foot.

Binding machine

We have a punching and binding machine to make booklets. Requires a metal binding spine; 11" spines are sold at the Supply Store and can be trimmed in the lab.

Color copying

There are 2 coin operated laser color printers located on either side of the Supply Store.

8.5 x 11, 11 x 17, and 12 x 18 (paper sizes) are loaded in each printer. All sizes cost $.25 a page, $.50 for double-sided.

The coin box accepts nickels, dimes, quarters, and $1 and $5 bills. Please do not insert pennies!

IT Help Desk Services

  • Supplying campus laser printers with paper and toner.
  • WiFi connection to ARTNET (all students), RESNET (in residence halls, for residents).
  • Help with GoMail, Self Service, GoStudio, and Digication accounts.
  • Help licensing and installing Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Formatting external hard drives for Mac or PC use.
  • Limited software support for user-owned systems. We do not offer warranty or hardware repair for user owned systems.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of campus systems, including computer labs, projectors, printers, and phones. When in doubt, please report an issue!


A Mac or PC laptop computer

  •  At least 512 GB of internal space
  •  At least 8 GB of memory (RAM)
  •  Dell education discounts here (but other PC brands will work as well)
  •  Apple education discounts here
  •  Check that your laptop meets Adobe Creative Cloud minimum requirements!
  •  Consider an extended warranty to extend life and delay replacement

Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Creative Cloud subscriptions must be purchased directly from Adobe using the Student Discount here.
  • Renewals of existing subscriptions will also be purchased directly from Adobe.

Antivirus software

  • The Help Desk can recommend software

An external backup drive

  • 1 TB is recommended
  • Make sure to run regular backups! Data loss can happen at any time.

A USB flash drive to transfer files

A digital drawing tablet

  • Tablets are available at the CCAD Supply Store. Funds for this are included in the Freshman Supply Kit.
