So what's new at CCAD?

Classes start Monday, Aug. 29. And we’re so excited.

Whether you’re coming to CCAD for the first time or returning for your final semester, we can’t wait to have you on campus.

We event planned a whole week to welcome you

Here’s the rundown.

Saturday, Aug. 27
Welcomefest ’16
8 – 11 p.m. The Quad. 
This CCAD tradition includes music by DJ Barticus, an LED climbing wall, a photo booth and free food. (Get used to the free food.) Plus, it’s a great way to mingle with all the new and returning students at CCAD that are about to become your BFFs! 😎

 

Monday, Aug. 29
Classes start
All Day. All over CCAD.
Get excited. 

The First Day Table
All Day. The Quad. 
We know the first day can be stressful and confusing, but we’re here to help. Check out the table under the tent on the Quad for campus maps and answers to your questions by CCAD staff and student leaders. Grab a free CCAD planner and a snack (see, we didn’t lie about the free food) to get you through your first day.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 30
Outdoor Movie
9 p.m. The Quad.
Bring a blanket and a pillow and chill out on the Quad with free popcorn and a movie — your pick. Check out the poll on the Class of 2020 Facebook page to vote.

 

Wednesday, Aug. 31
Student Involvement Fair
11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. The Quad.
We’ll have all the student clubs and organizations for you to check out, plus local businesses (they always bring swag!), community organizations and other info about Columbus.

 

Thursday, Sept. 1
Crane-Demonium
7 – 10 p.m. Crane Center.
Celebrate a successful first week with a game night in Crane. Have a milkshake (or two), try your hand at bingo or become a character in our LIVE video game.

 

Pick up a new pack of X-acto knives

and other supplies at the CCAD Supply Store.

 

Talk arty to me

Throughout the semester, Beeler Gallery — the main public exhibition space at CCAD — brings in contemporary artists, designers and scholars to give free talks. Here’s what’s coming up:
