MyCCAD: March 13, 2017

A look into the future

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 14, at 11 a.m., in a special event hosted by the Student Government Association, President Corn will talk about CCAD's new strategic plan and the future of CCAD. Check out the strategic plan here, and read more about the event here.

Go the Distance

Tomorrow is Go the Distance Day, which marks the halfway point in the semester. To celebrate and encourage you all to go the distance, Student Affairs is organizing events on campus, including a kazoo concert at noon on the Quad. Everyone will get a kazoo, and you can pretend like you're back in grade school and blow off some stress.

Tonight's visiting scholar

Hannah Brancato's lecture has been canceled due to inclement weather on the East Coast. We apologize for the inconvenience. We're working to reschedule the event.

Vote early, vote often

We know our teachers are excellent, and this spring, we’ll be recognizing them with the Teaching Excellence Award. If you know a teacher at CCAD who is making a big impact on students inside and outside of the classroom, consider nominating them for award recognition. Nominations will be accepted through Saturday, April 1. Find the nomination form here.

Calling all student leaders

Student organizations and student leaders are invited to nominate people for the Annual Student Leadership Banquet and Award Ceremony. You are welcome to nominate your own club/event/leaders or any other club/student/event. The nominations will then be sent out to the entire student body to vote on the winners. Click here to see more.

Way to go, Maria! 🎉🎉🎉

Congratulations to Maria D'Apolito, who has been named the Director of Student Engagement. In addition to overseeing CCAD's new student orientation programs, Maria will lead the Student Engagement Office, which supports student clubs and organizations, organizes campus-wide events, and enhances the overall student experience. We're launching a search to find a dynamic and innovative individual to fill Maria's current role of Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Inclusion.

The hours, they are a-changin'

From now on, the Crane Cafe will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Fridays instead of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. That change only applies to Fridays.

Save at The Hills

Weekends are looking good at The Hills Downtown! CCAD students, faculty, and staff can receive a 10% discount every day at The Hills, and now the $20 minimum is waived every Friday-Sunday.
