Construction is coming. Learn more on Thursday.
Starting this month, we'll have a lot of construction as CCAD undergoes a campus beautification project as part of the City of Columbus’ Creative Campus initiative. Beginning around Feb. 26, East Gay Street will be shut down for the rest of the spring semester and part of the summer.
Please visit ccad.edu/construction for the latest information, and learn more about how it will impact you during a brief presentation from 11 a.m. and noon Thursday, Feb. 15, in Canzani Center Auditorium. We’ll review how the upcoming Creative Campus construction could affect you and how it will make our campus more beautiful and safe.
Fall class registration starts soon
Sure, we’re at the start of spring semester, but it’s not too early to think about fall! Registration for classes begins soon, starting on Monday, Feb. 26, with seniors (students with 90 or more credit hours), honors students, and priority students. Be sure to check in with your academic advisor before you register regarding course questions, then go to Self Service to add classes.
Save the date for DSA selection
Living on campus is convenient and a great value with all-inclusive pricing during the months you’re taking classes. CCAD’s Design Square Apartments come fully furnished and offer amenities like a fitness center, laundry room, computer lab, and 24-hour security. DSA housing applications and full details for the March 22 – 27 selection process are available here.
Be the change as a student leader
Applications for orientation leaders and international mentors are due Feb. 28. These leadership roles are crucial to helping new students get the most out of their new life at CCAD, plus it’s great experience for you that future employers will notice.
Off-Campus Learning deadline extended
The deadline to apply for Off-Campus Learning (think: study abroad) has been extended to Feb. 21. If you’re interested in learning more about these opportunities, attend the final Off-Campus Learning info session 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Get your art fair applications in
Tuesday, Feb. 20, is the final day to apply for the 2018 Spring Art Fair, happening on April 7. And don’t forget: CCAD students can waive the jury fee by using coupon code StudentS18. Sale proceeds from the Art Fair go directly to the artists, so don’t delay.

You won’t get a cool sticker, but you will feel good knowing you had a say in choosing the next Student Government leaders. Meet the candidates at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in Crane Lobby. Then vote on my.ccad.edu Feb. 16 – 22.
Nominate your fave professor
The 2018 Teaching Excellence Award will honor one faculty member who meets the highest expectations of the college, students, and peers. Tell us why they deserve this important recognition through our online nomination form by Monday, Feb. 26.
Learn from a panel of successful alumni
Join the Black Student Leadership Association for an open dialogue with alumni about life as an African-American creative within the modern world of art. Happening from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in Canzani Auditorium, a reception and refreshments will follow.
