Take HEART exhibit

Fresh A.I.R. Gallery and VSA Ohio present “Take HEART” : a collaborative exhibit in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. Part of the ReelAbilities Film Festival Columbus and inspired by this month’s film Nise: the Heart of Madness, the exhibit is on display at Flux + Flow from May 1 – July 29, 2018.

Seventh Annual Kleibacker Film Festival

The seventh annual Charles Kleibacker Film Festival celebrates the legacy of a style icon with a weekend of free films honoring all things fashion. Please note that all films are recommended for adult audiences, and limited seating is available. To guarantee a seat, please make a reservation early.

Fifth Annual Black Heritage Through Visual Rhythms Juried Art Show

Weds.–Sun. 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Ohio History Center, 800 E. 17th Ave., Columbus
The National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center (NAAMCC), the Ohio History Connection (OHC), The King Arts Complex, and the African American Visual Artists Guild (AAVAG) present the fifth annual Black Heritage Through Visual Rhythms national art exhibit. Artists from across the United States are invited to submit their work to the juried art exhibit in the new categories updated for this year: Best of Show; Social Justice; Identity; and Surroundings (includes still life and landscape). All submissions should emphasize themes and perspectives related to the African diaspora and/or African American culture, history or experience.
Participants and winners will be recognized at the Artists’ Reception and Awards Ceremony at the Ohio History Center in Columbus, Ohio on Sat., Oct. 13, 2018. The exhibit will run until Mon., Jan. 21, 2019.
