Alumna illustrates her way across Columbus
What do Ballet Met, a library mural, and a children’s book have in common? Illustration alumna Sarah DeAngulo Hout (CCAD 2004).
Earlier this year, Hout was asked to paint a mural for the children's section of the downtown branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. The mural, which is in the activity room, features a landscape as it goes through the four seasons.
Hout also illustrated her first children’s book, Leap & Twirl, which was written by Steven Anderson and created for the dance company BalletMet Columbus. The book follows the daily adventures of a frog and a squirrel.
BalletMet Columbus also asked Hout to illustrate their 2012 Nutcracker poster. The poster will be revealed and displayed across the city in November.
