Freelance Opportunities

We often get requests from individuals in the community looking to hire creative students or alumni for personal projects or events. We will share these opportunities via a Google Group called Freelance Projects with Private Individuals.

When taking on freelance gigs with private individuals, keep in mind that you are offering a service and should be prepared to offer a quote to the person hiring. You should propose and insist on a signed contract.

If you'd like to explore these kinds of opportunities, but are unsure about your rates, contracts, or how to negotiate, come see us in the Career Services office and we can help!
