Alumna in international photography exhibition
Photography alumna Manjari Sharma (2004) will show her work in a group exhibition, Social Order: Photographs from Iran, India, and Afghanistan, at the Photo Center in Seattle, WA, Oct. 26–Dec. 15.
The exhibition features five contemporary women artists whose work explores the role of women in the contexts of cultural, religion, censorship, and the media. Each of these artists has left an important mark on the world of contemporary photography through their courageous and relevant work.
Sharma's work will be from her photography project Darshan, in which she photographically recreates classic images of gods and goddesses pivotal to Hinduism.
