Alumni help illustrate 614 magazine's popular Interview Issue
614 magazine’s hotly awaited Interview Issue hits stands every January. It features Q&As with, as the magazine puts it, “movers and shakers and trendsetters and activists and dreamers” who aren’t just changing Columbus — they’re changing the world.
This year’s list spotlighted former Columbus College of Art & Design student Mandi Caskey, as well as alumni-created portraits to accompany several of the interviews, including:
- Lisa Sterle (Fine Arts, 12) illustrated writer Hanif Abdurraqib (above), whose nationally recognized essay compilation They Can’t Kill Us Until They Kill Us was published by Columbus indie book house Two Dollar Radio.
- David Denniston (Advertising & Graphic Design, 90) painted abolitionist Theresa Flores.
- Former Adjunct Professor David M. Butler (Illustration, 06) painted Councilmember Jaiza Page.
- Jason Kincaid (Advertising & Graphic Design, 05) illustrated Doug Kridler, president and CEO of the Columbus Foundation.
