Alumni murals grace Columbus buildings

Three alumni are involved in one of the many public art projects being produced in celebration of the bicentennial of Columbus, Ohio.

Illustration alumna Marty Husted (CCAD 1979), Fine Arts alumna Heather Nibert (CCAD 2012), and Advertising & Graphic Design alumnus Mark Thomas (CCAD 1990) are each participating in the project 10x10x10: 10 Murals, 10 Galleries, 10 Openings.

The alumni will each have one of their works photographed and transferred to vinyl, which will then be displayed on the sides of buildings in the Short North, the arts district in Columbus. These mini murals will be up for a year.

Husted's Shadows Extending will be outside the Studios on High Gallery at 1081 N. High St., Nibert's Fields of Columbus will be outside Terra Gallery at 608 N. High St., and Thomas' Neighborhood Scene will be outside Lindsay Gallery at 459 N. High St.
