Alumnus collaborates with fellow professor in exhibition
Fallout, an exhibition by alumnus Kenneth Hall (CCAD 2004), opens Jan. 14 at the Waldemar A. Schmidt Gallery at Wartburg College. The exhibition also features sculptures by Erica Duffy Voss, a fellow faculty member at the University of Northern Iowa. The collaboration began during a 2010 summer fellowship at the university.
Before heading to CCAD, Hall graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a master's degree in engineering from the University of Illinois and spent 10 years as a Coast Guard drug enforcement boarding officer and civil engineer. He completed his master’s in art in 2007 from Miami University.
Hall has exhibited in national and international venues, including the Texas National 2010, the international Magnitude 7 exhibition in Cincinnati, and in Chicago, Louisville, and Hamburg, Germany. His first exhibition in Iowa was at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids.
The exhibition is open through Feb. 24 at the Bachman Fine Arts Center at Wartburg College. Daily hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m., and admission is free.
