Alumnus, faculty illustration published in ArtNews

Illustration alumnus and adjunct faculty Brian Williams (CCAD 2003) had his illustration Great Auk recently featured in ARTnews.

The article discussed artists’ portrayals of birds, from the chronicling of bird species in the early 1800s to more recent pop culture illustrations like Williams’.

Great Auk is part of Williams' series Extinct Birds, which depicts bird species wearing clothing typical of the year they became extinct.

ARTnews was founded in 1902 and has a readership of 180,000 in 123 countries. It's published 11 times a year and reports on art, issues, trends, and events that are shaping the international art world.
