Alumnus' work joins Museum's art collection
The Pearce Museum at Navarro College in Corsicana, TX chose alumnus Joe Howard’s (CCAD 1972) piece, Stone, Steel and Wood to add to its permanent Western Art Collection.
The Western Art Collection currently has 228 works of art, which comprise both two- and three-dimensional pieces; in various media including oil, acrylic, watercolor, egg tempera, and guache, as well as bronze and alabaster sculpture.
Howard’s work can be viewed during the museum’s 8th Annual Western Art of America Show, where his piece was chosen as “artist’s choice” by his peers.
Howard’s work is a part of numerous private and commercial collections such as the Ronald McDonald House, the state of Ohio, Xerox, Ohio State University Cultural Center, Liebert Corporation, Hydroplane Inc., and country music legend Conway Twitty.
