Alumnus works on nostalgic projects

Illustration alumnus Jason Goad (CCAD 1996) has been keeping a busy freelance illustration business going by partnering with some big-name brands and projects.

For the last seven years, Goad has been freelancing with Mattel's Hot Wheels. His most recent Hot Wheels project was working on their new Nostalgia Nose Art series, which pulls inspiration from iconic brands such as Hershey's, General Mills, Masters of the Universe, and DC Comics.

The company sent Goad 200 blank trading cards, asking him to do custom sketches relating to their MARS ATTACKS Heritage card set. After completing the drawings, Goad sent them back to Topps to be randomly inserted into packs of cards that would then be sold to the public. He will also work on custom sketch cards for their new Star Wars card set.Another recent project was with the Topps Company, which creates sport trading cards and entertainment products.

Goad's other clients include Sony, Signatures LLC, The Giant Peach, Z1R, Mr. Angry Motorsports, The Electric Factory, Live Nation Presents, and WOW Factory/Nowstalgic Toys.
