Alumnus writes, illustrates children's alphabet book
The alphabet gets a fun face-lift in Illustration alum Adam Watkins' latest children's book, R Is for Robot: A Noisy Alphabet.
Available for purchase June 26, the book is the sixth to include Watkins' illustrations and the first to feature his writing.
“It is just a bunch of funny noises,” Watkins said in a Portsmouth Daily Times article. “Rather than 'A is for apple,' it is 'A is for aoogah.' Every letter through the alphabet has a different sound. “
Watkins (CCAD 2004) is currently visiting elementary schools in Ohio and throughout the country to promote the book.
Watkins is from Roanoke, VA.
