Artist in residency in the works for Fine Arts alumna

The new Artist in Residency (AIR) Program at The Works, an interactive learning center in Newark, OH, has selected Erinn Bessler (Fine Arts, ’09) as the first artist to be featured in its glass studio. Bessler, who will begin her four-month residency September 1, will oversee classes, give glassblowing demonstrations, and interact with local schools and organizations. Her art work will be available for purchase in The Works Gear Shop.

Bessler specializes in Venetian-inspired glass and goblets. She most recently worked as an instructor, artist and studio manager at Crystal Traditions, a glass factory in Tiffin, OH.

The Works will host two glassblowing artists a year. More information about the center is available at www.attheworks.org.
