CCAD grads & faculty show their work at Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Competition

The Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Competition receives more than 2,000 entries each year, but only a fraction will be accepted in the juried exhibition.

Of that fraction, this year a number are Columbus College of Art & Design alumni and faculty. In the Amateur category, they include: Robert Becker (Illustration, 1979), Laura Bova (Industrial Design, 1994), Camille Laret (Animation, 2022), Minnie Lucas (Photography, 2020), and Brooke Ripley (Fine Arts, 2021).

Fine Arts Competition artists not only have their opportunity to show their work to the estimated 40,000 visitors who visit the exhibition in a given year, they are also eligible for cash and prizes. 

CCAD was among this year’s exhibition sponsors, offering gift certificates to Continuing & Professional Studies classes as part of the $20,895 in awards for this year’s winning artists.
