CCAD grad’s glass work featured at Ohio Governor’s residence
Multimedia artist Terri Albanese (Graphic Design, 1980) was recently selected by Ohio first lady Karen Kasich as a featured artist for this quarter’s Spotlight: Featured Artists at the Ohio Governor’s Residence exhibition. Albanese’s work features two-dimensional pieces created out of strips of handcrafted glass, a technique that she said gives her the freedom to “paint with glass,” according to a press release from the Ohio Arts Council.
Albanese, a Columbus native, creates pieces inspired by her personal experiences, faith, and love of nature. She is represented locally by Brandt-Roberts Galleries, and has also been featured in Artsy Shark.
Members of the public who wish to view the Spotlight exhibition can schedule a free tour of the Ohio Governor’s Residence and Heritage Garden by calling 614.644.7644 or emailing residence@governor.ohio.gov.
