Sanwal Deen (Master of Fine Arts, 2017) is an award-winning photographer from Pakistan whose work, which is inspired by cinema, graphic design, and Sufi mysticism, has been exhibited in group shows in London and Columbus. While Seattle-based Deen has now hit his artistic stride and works as a full-time digital designer, in addition to his artistic practice, that status did not come easy. In a recent interview with Communications Arts, Deen shares his career trajectory, which led him to Columbus College of Art & Design when he realized a career in investment banking wasn’t for him.
