CCAD names new Vice President for Marketing & Communications
Columbus College of Art & Design President Melanie Corn has named accomplished marketing leader Jill Moorhead as CCAD’s new Vice President for Marketing & Communications.
Moorhead joined CCAD in 2015 as the college’s Creative Director. She became Executive Director of Marketing & Communications in 2016, leading the college’s marketing team to produce award-winning content, develop effective digital marketing strategies, and launch several websites, including a new school store at shopccad.org.
“Since taking on the leadership of Marketing & Communications, Jill has transformed the department from reactive to proactive and strategic,” Dr. Corn said. “As Executive Director, Jill has demonstrated her strength as a leader and commitment to the college. I believe the title of Vice President, within CCAD and beyond, signals the importance of her position and the vital role of Marketing & Communications at the college.”
As Executive Director of Marketing & Communications, Moorhead led a team that produced award-winning work through the CCAD Student Agency, bringing prestige to the college and valuable experience and accolades to CCAD students.
Moorhead systemized high-level communications and marketing strategies and established communication systems designed to effectively share the successes of CCAD faculty, staff, alumni, and students. She also oversaw a team that launched multiple website updates, launched three online portals, and established highly effective Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization strategies that focus on data-based decisions.
Additionally, Moorhead led a team that launched three new print publications, including spring and fall event calendars and One Eight Six, an annual magazine showcasing exciting news at CCAD.
And she has helped increase CCAD’s exposure of the college within the community, with a robust editorial calendar that touches every major and academic program of the college and partnerships with a number of area organizations, including the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Experience Columbus, White Castle, and the Short North Alliance.
In her new role, Moorhead will continue to lead the Marketing & Communications team and develop and implement initiatives that support CCAD’s strategic plan goals.
