The Columbus Dispatch picks up CCAD’s “epic” appearance in Superman comic

The Columbus College of Art & Design’s star turn in the latest issue of Action Comics, which sees the Canzani Center taken down in an explosive confrontation, was picked up by The Columbus Dispatch, which noted that, “The issue’s writer, Brian Michael Bendis, included the locale—and its destruction—in an apparent nod to his guest appearance in September at the college during the Cartoon Crossroads Columbus festival.”

Comics & Narrative Practice Assistant Professor Laurenn McCubbin told the Dispatch that CCAD’s cameo was a happy surprise.

“We had no idea this was coming,” she said.
