Downtown Columbus gallery to showcase alum's work

Angela Meleca Gallery will feature Adjunct Instructor and MFA alumnus Andrew McCauley (CCAD 2013) in Head Games, a solo exhibition opening Nov. 7.

McCauley’s work is concerned with the effects that diseases like multiple sclerosis have on the body and mind.

"His characters are caught in the experience of nervous and circulatory system failure and, ultimately, a total loss of mobility," says McCauley's artist statement. "The playful, intentionally unsophisticated characters act as a balance to lighten the heavy connotation of their decline."

An opening reception will be held Nov. 7 from 5–8 p.m. at Angela Meleca Gallery, 144 E. State St., Columbus, OH 43215. The exhibition runs through Dec. 20, Tuesday–Friday 11 a.m.–6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
