Faculty, alumnus receives art fellowship
Adjunct Faculty and Fine Arts alumnus Andrew Ina (CCAD 2006) received a Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) Individual Art Fellowship in Media Arts this year.
The award was presented at the 60th Columbus International Film + Video Festival in November. At the festival, they also showed Ina’s film Pastime, a story about two brothers facing the challenges of growing up in a post-oil society.
The fellowship, established in 1986, is designed to recognize outstanding local artists and awarded Ina $5,000. There were more than 40 entries for the fellowship. Jurors included Janine Cirincione, director of Sean Kelly Gallery, New York; David Hartz, associate professor of electronic media communications, University of Cincinnati and Blue Ash College; and Karen Kunc, Cather professor of art, University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
