Fine arts alumnae fabricate large-scale installations

Danielle Julian-Norton (CCAD '99) and Soo Sunny Park (CCAD '98) have large-scale installation work included in the exhibition, Fabrications, which was recently reviewed in the Boston Globe.

The textile-themed work, located in a former wool mill in Newport, NH, is up through September 25, and received a warm review by the Globe.

Translating Change, the installation by Julian-Norton is two large rotating spools of thread pulling a strand through screen boxes, open space, and hooking around pulleys with various motions. The artist is assistant professor of Fine Arts and graduate studies at CCAD.

A billowing, suspended installation by Park is titled S.S. VT. Vapor. It consists of chain link fence, plastic cups, cotton string and river rocks.
