Jewelry designer and CCAD Fine Arts grad named a Halstead Grant finalist
Metalsmith and jewelry designer Bethany James (Fine Arts, 2016) has been named a top 10 finalist for the Halstead Grant, a coveted award for emerging jewelry businesses. Her company, Leo Handcrafted Goods, combines fine jewelry techniques with contemporary jewelry style. The contest, headed up by family-owned jewelry supplier Halstead Bead, seeks to recognize jewelry entrepreneurs with a strong business plan.
James returns to Columbus College of Art & Design each spring to sell her contemporary jewelry pieces in the CCAD Art Show, and also sells jewelry at The Smithery in Grandview Heights. Find more of her work on Facebook and Instagram.
