MDes students envision smart cities of the future
Smart cities of the future are often portrayed as beautiful, clean spaces where technology has solved all of humanity’s problems. But that approach doesn’t take into account, well, humanity.
Inside the classrooms at Columbus College of Art & Design, students in the new Master of Design program are working with experts in healthcare, transportation, and other industries to reimagine the future of smart cities. They’re creating thought-provoking “design fictions” that feel like they could be at home in the pages of a sci-fi novel.
