In the news: Beeler Gallery's arms ache avid aeon

34th Street magazine, a University of Pennsylvania publication, recently reviewed arms ache avid aeon: Nancy Brooks Brody / Joy Episalla / Zoe Leonard / Carrie Yamaoka: fierce pussy amplified, an exhibition that was originated at CCAD's Beeler Gallery [beelergallery.org] and is on view at the University of Pennsylvania through Dec. 22.

"This new exhibition holds a tone distinct from the protest pieces of fierce pussy’s early days, one that now shares a refreshed and nuanced iteration of their fiery old resistance," wrote the reviewer.

The Philadelphia exhibition, also known as Chapter Five of Beeler Gallery's Season One, was curated by Beeler Gallery Director of Exhibitions, Jo-ey Tang, co-organized with Associate Director Ian Ruffino and Registrar Marla Roddy, and organized by Anthony Elms at Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia.
