Ran Tao (Fashion Design, 2019), will see her dress design sold online this spring thanks to a Columbus College of Art & Design partnership with plus-size contemporary brand ELOQUII, which is based in Columbus. Read more here.

The Poet’s Life: A Reading & Film Screening, featuring a reading from poet David St. John, a screening of A Late Style of Fire, about St. John’s friend, the late poet Larry Levis, followed by a Q&A with the Q&A with the filmmakers, Michele Poulos and Gregory Donovan, as well as St. John, is Thursday, Nov. 9. Assistant Professor of History of Art & Visual Culture Carmen Winant is among the artists whose work will be on view as part of Repeat Pressure Until at Angela Meleca Gallery. Alison Oakes (Fine Arts, 2004) specialized in painting as a CCAD student, but now has another pursuit — culinary arts, as owner of Naked Foods, a Knoxville, Tenn-based clean food education, meal prep, and delivery business. Read more here.
Students in CCAD's Glass Club took home fifth place (and a big penguin trophy) at the Glass Olympics at Hocking College on Oct. 15. The trophy the students made, the muscular "Use Your Uterus" uterus, went to the second-place finishers, the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Read more here.
