Columbus College of Art & Design alumni—and a current student—are among the 10 finalists announced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council and PromoWest Productions for a 2019 exhibition at A&R Music Bar. Lee Van Mora (Animation, 2020), Jennifer Bender (Photography, 1996), Darrek M. Robertson (Industrial Design, 2016), and Roger J. Williams (Fine Arts, 1968) are among those whose work is under consideration for the PromoWest and Columbus Marks Art 2019 Exhibition. Read more here.

Abundant Sanctuary, an exhibition of works on paper by Logan Schmitt (Illustration, 2016), is on view at the Lamplight in Thomas, West Virginia, through May. Schmitt’s works are on view at the gallery and online through May. Read more here.

A computer-aided design and architecture class taught by Peter Wachtel (Industrial Design, 1990) at Camarillo High School in California have worked on spec projects for Universal Studios Hollywood, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Boy Scouts of America. This contemporary take on the woodshop classes of old was picked up by the Camarillo Acorn, the VC Star, and the Skills USA newsletter.

Jane Smith (Illustration, 2002) illustrated the album Pieces, an album of songs for kids that benefits the music therapy program for children and teens on the autism spectrum at Bridgeway Academy in Columbus. Read more here.
