Chapter Five of arms ache avid aeon: Nancy Brooks Brody / Joy Episalla / Zoe Leonard / Carrie Yamaoka: fierce pussy amplified, curated by Beeler Gallery Director of Exhibitions Jo-ey Tang, will head to ICA in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania for the ICA’s fall 2019/winter 2020 seasons. India Orban (Advertising & Graphic Design, 2019) and Liz White (Advertising & Graphic Design 2020) are headed to national American Advertising Federation awards competition thanks to their successful performance in a regional competition against peers from Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Associate Professor and Animation Chair Charlotte Belland (Advertising & Graphic Design, 1997) is one of five artists chosen to have work featured in this year’s ArtPop street gallery, a project from the Greater Columbus Arts Council, ArtPop Street Gallery, Lamar Outdoor, City Solutions, and the Art Makes Columbus/Columbus Makes Art campaign. Beeler Gallery Director of Exhibitions Jo-ey Tang will be a juror for FotoFocus’ first regional juried group exhibition, AutoUpdate, in partnership with The Carnegie, a multidisciplinary arts venue in Northern Kentucky. Submissions for the show, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of Aperture magazine’s Metamorphosis: Photography in the Electronic Age, are open to artists in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana through June 17.
