History of Art & Visual Culture Chair and Professor Jeannine Kraft is heading to Ireland to present at the Third Galway Conference of Irish Studies at the National University of Ireland Galway. She’ll present her paper, The Tourist View or the One Who Dwells Within: Negotiating the Visual Narrative of “Home” on June 8. Read more here.

Alum Sarah Moore (Advertising & Graphic Design, 2017) created the artwork for (614) magazine's Pride issue cover featuring Nina West, the “Patron Saint of Pride.” Check out the cover here.

Animation Chair and Associate Professor Charlotte Belland (Advertising & Graphic Design, 1997) created an Augmented Reality Sculpture Experience for Columbus Arts Festival’s new Virtual Reality Tent. Bring Belland’s 3D printed animal sculptures to life Friday, June 7, through Sunday, June 9, in the Arts Fest tent and pick up the June issue of (614) magazine to learn more about the VR tent.

Belland was also honored by the Ohio Senate for Dogs of Columbus, her work featured on a Clinton Township billboard as part of the third-annual ArtPop Street Gallery public exhibition.

Director of Liberal Arts, Department Head of Writing, Literature, and Philosophy, and Associate Professor Joshua Butts has a poem, “Latticework,” in the new issue of Blackbird, a journal of literature and the arts. Read more here.

Daric Gill (Fine Arts, 2004) and Cameron Granger (Film & Video, 2016) have work on view in Greater Columbus: The 2019 Greater Columbus Arts Council Visual Arts Exhibition. The exhibition includes work from recipients of the Arts Council’s 2018 Individual Artist Fellowships, and runs June 14 through Sept. 29 at Columbus Museum of Art. Learn more here.
