Plenty to be thankful for this holiday season
It’s that time of year of when we stop to reflect on what we’re thankful for. Here’s what CCAD President Dr. Melanie Corn had to say:
As I prepare to spend my first Thanksgiving back in the Midwest in many years, I can’t help but think about how grateful I am to be a part of Columbus, and a part of the larger Columbus College of Art & Design family.
It’s officially been eight months since I first came to CCAD. But because of this community, it took about eight minutes for me to call this place home.
The CCAD family is friendly. The CCAD family is passionate. And the CCAD family is expansive.
You’re faculty, staff, board members, community members, and alumni. And you’re changing the face of Columbus — and the world — by enabling and creating art and design that makes people think.
Thank you for taking the time to engage with CCAD this year, whether you've shared a social media post; visited Beeler Gallery; made a gift; attended Chroma: Best of CCAD, one of our Art Fairs, or the Senior Fashion Show; or joined in one of the other countless ways our community comes together.
Thank you for welcoming me, thank you for inspiring me, and thank you for your never-ending support for raising up the next generation of artists and designers.
Best,
Melanie
P.S. If you’re inspired by the CCAD community as much as I am, please consider a gift. And keep us in mind on Giving Tuesday (Nov. 29).
