President Corn featured in Columbus Business First Q&A
Columbus Business First had questions, and Columbus College of Art & Design President Melanie Corn had answers. Dr. Corn recently sat down with the paper to discuss a range of topics, from how she got started in the higher education biz ("I think I think I was born into it," said Corn, daughter of a community college professor and dean) to making a four-year degree more affordable, Discovery District and CCAD development projects, and the role colleges and universities can play in fostering a space for peaceful protest and exercise of First Amendment rights.
"I think the most important role we can play is teaching students respect for differences, resiliency, and grace in the face of confrontation," Corn told the publication.
