Show us your space: environmental designer Casi Douglas
From light-filled private painting studios to collaborative offices with cityscape views, the varied workspaces of CCAD students and alumni represent the multitude of career paths an art and design school can help forge. Here’s a peek into where several of our students and grads make the magic happen M–F (or, sometimes, 24/7).

Brand Experience Designer at TENFOLD

When Casi Douglas was an Industrial Design student at CCAD, she got really good at juggling multiple projects. In addition to her coursework, she worked in the campus’ Digital Print Lab and IT Help Desk, served as president of the ID Student Collective, participated in the IDSA student merit awards (and won Outstanding Senior in Industrial Design her senior year), and was an active member of CCAD’s student government.
Those experiences serve her well at TENFOLD, a highly specialized brand consultancy where she creates environmental graphic design and interactive digital display technology. Douglas regularly works with multiple clients—from nonprofits to huge corporations. Her creativity helps transform their brand strategies into compelling communications on a grand scale.
Can you describe your workspace?
My workspace is my desk at TENFOLD, a strategy and creative design company in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
What kind of work do you do in this space?
I primarily work on environmental branding projects with a focus on three-dimensional elements, but graphic design is also an extremely large part of what I do. While in the office I'm primarily working at my computer, collaborating with colleagues, or meeting with clients. There is also a lot of field work involved in my day to day, including site visits for field dimensions and final photography of projects.
How do you work?
Typically I work on several projects in tandem. I do a wide variety of work here at TENFOLD, which helps keep my job interesting.
What do you love about your space?
I love how conducive our space is to collaboration. We have an open office plan so I get to work closely with my colleagues. If I have a question, I can just roll over to a nearby desk and get help quickly. I also love how homey our office is—we have a lot of soft seating and an open kitchen area. Oftentimes people spend as much time at work as at home, so it's important to work someplace you feel comfortable and welcome.
