A Day With(out) Art

In response to the worsening AIDS crisis and coinciding with the World Health Organization’s Visual AIDS organized Day Without Art on Dec. 1, 1989. This year, Beeler Gallery, along with peer institutions around the world will recognize the day, now known as Day With(out) Art, with a screening of Alternate Endings, Activist Risings, which highlights the impact of art on AIDS activism and advocacy today. The movie, which tells stories from six inspiring community organizations and collectives, will play on a loop from noon to 6 p.m. in the Canzani Center Auditorium.
