An opening reception, which is free and open to the public, will be held Thursday, Nov. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Land is an exhibition that approaches the word broadly, from the farm to the backyard to the forest. This exhibition brings together gestural painting, video installation, and painted sculptures that co-opt found structures such as a trampoline, a tree carved with the words of a grandfather plus a large-scale mural consuming the walls of the gallery. Curated by Faculty Director of Galleries Tim Rietenbach, the exhibition features the work of Kurt Lightner, Bing Lee, Erin McKenna, Kate Rhoades, and Ed Valentine, all alumni of Columbus College of Art & Design’s Fine Arts department who represent different times in the school’s history.
Learn more about the exhibition, which is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Greater Columbus Arts Council and the Ohio Arts Council, at beelergallery.org.
Beeler Gallery has a variety of health and safety protocols in place in response to COVID-19. Learn more before visiting.
