Artist’s statement
"Matter: A Relationship Between the Physical and Conscious Ideas of Value ." By collage, weaving, painting, and paper mâché, into landscapes and abstract weavings, I capture the essence of my family by manipulating memory as a muse. This exploration of mixed media, scale and fibrous materials touches on family, personal history, absence, and cultural value. This is crucial to capturing the discourse of importance, worth, and what we deem valuable.
