Visiting Artists & Scholars: Bevil Conway

Columbus College of Art & Design presents a talk by artist and neuroscientist Bevil Conway, who specializes in visual perception often exploring the limitations of the visual system in his artwork. Formerly an Associate Professor at Wellesley College and a Principal Research Scientist in Brain and Cognitive Science at MIT, Conway was educated at McGill University and Harvard University. On finishing his PhD, he was elected Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows, and spent a year as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the University of Bremen, Germany. Conway also helped establish the Kathmandu University Medical School in Nepal. His laboratory is at the National Institutes of Health and his studio is in Washington, D.C.
