The CCAD Art Fair & Marketplace on Saturday, Dec. 2, will mark a first for Sanne Sok (Illustration, 2019). Saturday marks the Art Fair debut for the San Jose, California native, who will be selling pins, digital prints, and pieces made from cut paper, priced from $4 to $80.

What’s your philosophy/perspective behind your work?
I think that having a chance to create my own story is what drives my work, whether it be through digital media or traditional media like watercolor, ink, or cut paper.
Why did you want to participate in the CCAD Art Fair? What kind of significance does it have to be selected for it?
It means a lot because I’ll be sharing a booth with my roommate, Kelsey Heaton (Illustration, 2019). We’ve always thought about how cool it would be to sell our art at the Art Fair since freshman year, so it’s really nice to see it finally happening!
How has your CCAD education influenced the work you will be offering for sale?
I think CCAD has helped me improve my art altogether. I’ve become confident enough in my work to sell to the public.
