Redefining success

Life at CCAD, Illustrated collage of Columbus with call out circles of little blue artist figure running around town and painting and sketching

Success in the conventional sense can seem pretty linear: land a job and work your way to the top of your chosen field.

But the truth is that success can take many forms, and the road to it isn't always a straight and narrow path — sometimes it’s a path you have to forge yourself.

This month, we're talking to artists who have made personal and professional achievements by striking out in their own unique directions. In the following weeks, you’ll hear from an alum who joined with friends to create a virtual animation studio; a grad who converted a 1994 Ford Econoline into a home, lowering his cost of living (and making it easier to travel to art and craft shows around the country); and a Fine Arts alum who is merging his love of art and agriculture.
