Laurenn McCubbin has a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago, an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an MFA in Experimental & Documentary Art from Duke University, She has worked in comics since 2002, winning a Xeric Grant for her first book XXXLIVENUDE GIRLS in 2002, and selling her graphic novel RENT GIRL (with writer Michelle Tea) to Showtime in 2007. She’s drawn comics and graphic novels for McSweeneys, Marvel Comics, Vertigo, Last Gasp and Dark Horse. She was the Art Director for Image Comics,and is currently the house designer for Milkfed Criminal Masterminds (BITCH PLANET, PRETTY DEADLY) and the editor for MOONSTRUCK and SFSX for Image Comics.
 

McCubbin has been an Associate Professor at Columbus College of Art & Design since 2013 and has taught such classes as the Comics Practicum, Self Publishing, and Intro to Comics & Narrative Practice. Learn more about Laurenn McCubbin online www.laurennmccubbin.com
