Charlene Fix taught writing poetry, film and literature, and literary studies. Fix received fellowships from the Ohio Arts Council and the Greater Columbus Arts Council, and has published poems in Poetry, Literary Imagination, Hotel Amerika, The Manhattan Review and others. Fix has published chapbooks: Mischief and Greatest Hits and books: Flowering Bruno, Harpo Marx as Trickster, and Frankenstein’s Flowers. Fix has received the Robert H. Winner Memorial Award and Louis Hammer memorial Awards from the Poetry Society of America.
