Cheri Sayavong received her Bachelor's of Arts in African & African-American Studies as well as her Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 2002. She spent a decade working for the YMCA and YWCA of Central Ohio coordinating various after-school childcare programs and summer youth programs around Columbus. In 2009, she received her Master's of Arts in Clinical Psychology and is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Education & Leadership development. Cheri has been employed by the State of Ohio for the last 18 years as a contract worker for the Social Security Administration. She is an active member of her community, serving and volunteering on various advisory boards for community-based non-profit organizations focused on youth growth and development programs. She is the co-founder of Project V.E.R.B, a non-profit organization serving middle and high school inner-city youth, exposing them to coding/robotics and assisting with career exploration and planning. Cheri is excited to be returning to CCAD as an adjunct instructor in the Social Sciences department. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world and experiencing various cultures.
