Jonna Twigg is an Ohio-born artist, entrepreneur, and paper expert who spends most of her time designing and binding custom books, re-housing collections of art, and drawing with her two young sons.

Twigg graduated from CCAD in 2003 and moved to New York City. There, she cultivated a career as a museum preparator specializing in the exhibition and long-term storage of works on paper. Working alongside New York's leading paper conservators, she has worked on major projects for both museums and private collections such as the Guggenheim Museum, the National Archives, the 9/11 Museum, Harry Winston, and the Maurice Sendak Foundation. As a self-taught book-binder who actively used books in her artistic practice, Twigg began making books for fellow artists, friends, and family in 2006. By 2008, she had officially founded Twigg’s Bindery with commissions from galleries and small publishing houses, and by 2012 she was selling blank journals and sketchbooks online. Over the subsequent years, Twigg’s Bindery became an award-winning business recognized for its authenticity, innovative designs, and impeccable hand craft. Profiles of Twigg’s Bindery and Twigg’s Brooklyn workshop appeared in The New York Times, the seminal 2016 book In The Company of Women, as well as magazine write ups in publications such as Vogue, Fortune, New York Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, and Financial Times.

After 15 years in New York City, Twigg moved back to Ohio and currently operates her Bindery as a custom-only business. She remains engaged in her work with private art collections.
