Dr. Nama Khalil received her Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art, and her PhD from the University of Michigan in Sociocultural Anthropology. Her scholarly work focuses on race and representation, children and media, and expressive culture. Her art and writing have appeared in MOMA’s Design and Violence exhibition, Designo14, and OWPAL’s QuaranZine. Nama is also a diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant who works with K-12 educators, Muslim organizations, and other independent clients.
