Students find inspiration from around the world for Chroma
By Katy Daiber First year fine arts students at CCAD just finished their installations. First, they were assigned to collect a lot of what they loved. The items could be old, new, manufactured, handmade, edible, large, small, soft, hard, common, rare, etc. Many students turned to nature, grocery stores, and thrift shops to search for their collection.

By Katy Daiber CCAD's Market (Cafeteria) has a variety of food for students, it's open for community members as well. Freshman who live on campus, automatically get a lot of swipes on their ID as a meal plan. But the Market also has student discounts for those who only want to dine every once in a while.

Mixed-media artist Nikos Fyodor Rutkowski (CCAD 2002) can see significant change in his work as he looks back at the last 10 years. "It is clear that attentions shift and interests change," Rutkowski said. "Time is the most powerful solvent of all, blurring some passages, erasing others completely." The Fine Arts alum's creative journey is on display at Wood.Metal.Art, a furniture, art, and design workshop and retail gallery space in Franklinton.
