A trio of leaders who have made major impact at Columbus College of Art & Design and points beyond are being honored with 2017 Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Community Arts Partnership Awards.

CCAD Board of Trustees member Mark Corna is the winner of the Michael B. Coleman Arts Partner Award, and Marshall Shorts and Corey Favor, both CCAD grads and co-founders of Creative Control Fest, were named winners of GCAC’s Emerging Arts Leader Award.

CCAD nominated the three for the award.

CCAD alum Jason Mowry (Illustration, 2003) will be showing a collection of works called The Fox and The Man at the Door at Artlink Contemporary Art Gallery in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The exhibition will be on view from Sept. 22, 2017, through Oct. 22, 2017.

Michael Glass (Illustration, 1997), a graphic designer by day and a painter in his other hours, was recently featured in the Catholic Telegraph thanks to a creative body of work that includes a reproduction image he painted on a window at the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

Three Palettes, which features work by three artists, CCAD grad Jim Lewis (Illustration, 1976) among them, received praise from the Island Packet (South Carolina), which called the exhibition “outstanding.”
