Spring Art Fair goes online

Support your fellow CCAD students (and pick up something nice for yourself or a friend) at this year’s Spring Virtual Art Fair. Shop online at the Art Fair, which starts at 5 p.m. Friday, April 10, and runs through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, April 12.

Do you have questions about filing for unemployment?

Due to the national emergency surrounding COVID-19, unemployment agencies may be waiving certain requirements. That means that if you were a CCAD student worker whose employment ended early because of COVID-19, you can apply for unemployment support from the state of Ohio at unemployment.ohio.gov or by calling 614.387.8408. Please note:

  • When filing your claim, you should list that you were laid off as a CCAD student worker due to COVID-19 and your employment was due to end on May 6. It is also important to mention that you were paid through March 31 and will receive your final paycheck from CCAD on April 15.
  • The state unemployment agency will make the decision whether to approve or deny your claim.

Please contact CCAD’s Human Resources department at [email protected] with any additional questions.

Finding her focus at CCAD

Sarah Pfiefer (Photography, 2020) didn’t take a direct route to enrolling at Columbus College of Art & Design. She attended classes at other schools and contemplated joining the military before a stint as a Disney World photographer helped uncover where her talents truly lay. At CCAD, she’s grown as an artist and a photographer creating meaningful work.

Don’t forget to make sure you’re counted in the 2020 US Census! Even if you weren’t on CCAD’s campus on April 1, you should be counted in the location where you live and sleep most of the time, even if you’re temporarily elsewhere due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
