Alumnus' photo on cover of bestselling book

Photography alumnus and 2013 Alumni Award for Excellence recipient Chad Hunt (CCAD 1994) had one of his photos used on the newly designed cover for Ben Fountain's Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk.

The book, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award for fiction and is a finalist for the National Book Award, is a satire set in Texas during America's war in Iraq. It explores the gaping national disconnect between the war at home and the war abroad.

The photo on the cover was taken during Hunt's time spent embedded with the U.S. military at the Korengal Outpost in Afghanistan.
