CCAD President Corn weighs in on Nazi painting controversy
“What do you do when you discover a popular masterpiece in your museum was created by a fanatical Nazi?” Such was the question posed by Columbus Monthly magazine regarding work by impressionist Emil Nolde, whose painting Sunflowers in the Windstorm is part of Columbus Museum of Art’s collection. CCAD President Melanie Corn, who earned an MA in Art History from University of California Santa Barbara, in addition to an EdD in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania, was one of the experts who weighed in.
